While the Indian media is still raving about Paris Hilton’s India visit, there is another International celebrity who will touch the Indian soils pretty soon. Born Thomas Cruise Mapother IV, or better known as American actor Tom Cruise, will visit Mumbai in December for the promotion of his next movie, Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol.
The actor will be in Mumbai to attend a ‘special fan screening’ of the movie on 5th December & shall take off to Dubai for the worldwide premier of the movie on 7th December. Though Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor is also a part of the movie, the reason for Tom Cruise’s Mumbai visit along with Mission Impossible co-actor Paula Patton is expected to be something else. Apparently, the official trailer of the movie shows the lead pair walking into an Indian palace where the dancers around look like they are performing Kathak and many women are wearing Saris.
This film will be the fourth in the Mission Impossible series and is rumoured to be the last one. In this movie, the US Government initiates a black ops “ghost protocol” & disavows the entire Impossible Mission Force owing to a terrorist attack. IMF agent Ethan Hunt, Tom’s character, & his team are to be blamed for the attack, but are allowed to escape as part of a plan to enable them to operate in the dark, outside of their agency. However, Hunt is warned that if any member of his team is captured during their mission, they will be charged as terrorists planning to incite global nuclear war. Ethan is then forced to work with ex-IMF agent Brandt, who knows more about Hunt and his past than even Hunt himself. The movie will be released in United States on 21st December much later than the worldwide release.
With some stiff competition from Bollywood movies releasing in December (read Vidya Balan starrer The Dirty Picture, Saif Ali Khan & Kareena Kapoor’s Agent Vinod, Abhishek Bachchan & Sonam Kapoor starrer Players & on-off couple Ranveer Singh & Anushka Sharma starrer Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl), we wonder how this action movie will fare at the box office.
