Delhi Police seeks Farhan’s Contribution

Delhi: Now it is the turn for the actor cum director Farhan Akhtar who will be likely to see Delhi police for his audio visual advertisement to spread knowledge about different crime against women. The actor-director Farhan Akhtar who recently directed the bollywood blockbuster ‘Don 2’ got engaged with a newspaper Campaign by which he provoked the people of Delhi to join hands to help out women who are influenced by the violence.

The Delhi Police spokesperson Mr. Rajan Bhagat told that they are going to organize an audio-visual campaign with the actor cum director. He also informed that the talks are on. In a printed statement, Farhan Akhtar made bold statement addressing the people of Delhi to make Delhi safer for Delhi itself. He also asked people whether they are man enough to join him. Later on he suggested people asking not to sit them and allow violence against women. He told that if it is noticed what you need is to Fight against it, Make report against it, or call the 24 hours Women’s Helpline desk 1091.

It is not for the first time that a celebrity has been chosen to promote awareness for public welfare. In last December it was Virender Sehwag, the famous cricketer was seen advertising to make people know about the traffic rules along with asking them to wear helmet to prevent accidents.

A senior police official had told that celebrities are very popular to promote different initiatives taken by the government. He also said that they are trying to get more personalities to make advertisement and help people to fight crime.

Different other personalities like Kapil Dev, Atul Wassan, Sachin Tendulkar, Amitabh Bachchan, and Manssor ali Khan Pataudi had performed in traffic Police programs and different other public awareness promoting advertisements.
