Kareena Kapoor, once considered a hot favorite of Shahrukh Khan and an essential ingredient of every SRK-Karan Johar film has now moved on to a different territory. The so-called Bebo who recently grooved to the tunes of ‘chammak challo’ in a flame red sari in Shahrukh’s ‘Ra. One’ has, reportedly, chosen to move out from under the shadows of the King Khan to be in the wings of the Midas man.
So, the buzz is that Kareena has shifted her loyalty from SRK camp to the Aamir campsite. And there are several reasons being cited for that in the media circle. For quite some time, the growing closeness between Shahrukh and his onscreen ‘junglee billi’ Priyanka Chopra has found headlines and this has irked Kareena, somewhat. Perhaps, she is not very comfortable with the fact that a rival actress has joined the buddy list of the ‘Don 2’ actor!
Then there are also stories of her personal grudge with the fact that neither SRK nor Karan Johar has offered any role to her beau Saif Ali Khan despite her requests. While SRK’s preferred buddies like Arjun Rampal continue to get roles in his home productions, a much talented and proven Saif is consistently ignored.
That has prompted Kareena to sit down and think of her future and where exactly her priority lies. There is no doubt about the fact that she respects Aamir to the point of reverence and her biggest career hit, so far, has come opposite him in 2009’s ‘3 Idiots’. Besides, Aamir’s upcoming big release ‘Talaash’ will also feature her in the lead role. There are too many ifs and buts involved in this whole permutation & combination and it is best to leave the thinking on Kareena. But the tabloids are busy doing the thinking for her and the circulating report says that she has chosen Aamir over SRK. Her association with the King Khan goes a long way back as she has done a slew of flicks with him including ‘Asoka’ and ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ but the tide is now clearly flowing in a different direction.
And by the way, currently, Kareena is looking forward to her Valentine week release ‘Ek Main aur Ekk Tu’ opposite Imran Khan (Aamir’s nephew) which promises to be a mushy rom-com.
