Parvin Dabas turns director

Mumbai: The latest buzz in the film industry of B-town is that actor Parvin Dabas has turned director with the flick called “Sahi Dhandhe Galat Bande”. The actor is mostly known for his role in the production ‘Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara’, but also for the one in ‘Sahi Dhandhe Galat Bande’. But this is not all, as the actor turned director has also written the script for the movie in question.

“It’s not like I woke up one day and decided to write and direct. The writing part happened first. I got a few ideas and started writing,” said Parvin Dabas in a recent interview. According to him, “My first aim was production and not direction. Direction happened when after writing the script, I realized that nobody except me would be the right person to direct it. I knew exactly how I wanted to treat it. I was very excited doing that.”

Parvin wanted to add “First of all, we were not making this film to push ourselves as actors. We had decided that our production house will make exciting entertaining cinema, so in the first one we didn’t want that feeling to come across that we are making a film for ourselves. That was a conscious decision.”

When talking about the film, the actor-director said that the story revolves around certain things which are relevant in today’s society, and that is all that he wanted to say for the time being. It seems that the cast list includes – besides Parvin himself and Anupam Kher – the newcomers to the industry Vansh Bhardwaj, Ashish Nayyar and Sharat Saxena. The film will be produced by his wife under the Very Fishy Films Production banner and it is scheduled to be released on the big screen on the 19th of August. Looking forward to it!
