‘Rana’ may be Rajinikanth’s last film: Dhanush

Chennai: According to Dhanush, Rajinikanth’s son in law, made quite a statement. In a recent interview he said that the film production ‘Rana’ could be the last one for the super star Rajini. His exact words were “We will soon have a statement from Rajinikanth himself. The superstar (Rajini) is doing well, he is recovering very fast. He will be back in a week or 10 days.”

As you may know by now, Rajinikanth fell ill during the first day of shooting for his production ‘Rana’ at the end of this April. Following the mega hit success of his sci-fi venture called ‘Enthiran’ – which by the way was the costliest movie ever made in the country of India – the super star took the decision of signing up for Rana, film that also stars the beautiful actresses Deepika Padukone.

During his long career in the film industry, Rajinikanth has featured in more than 170 productions, in his over 30 years of work. There is no secret to anyone that his cigarette tossing stuns alongside his tough guy image have unquestionably put him in the super star dome in the past three decades, but also in the many years to come. Many may have forgotten the fact that in the beginnings, the celebrity was a simpler bus driver in the city of Mumbai.

In the film ‘Rana’, the super star Rajinikanth has performed a triple role, opposite Deepika Padukone, an actress half his age. Many voices from the industry have said that the movie in question will more than sure be shelved in the case that Rajinikanth’s condition does not improve any time soon. From what we have been able to find out it seems that many frames from the movie production will not be shot without the celebrity who has three lead roles in it.
