Mumbai: The latest buzz in the film industry of tinsel town has to do with none other than the super star Salman Khan. As you may know, the popular actor is currently busy with the filming for his upcoming movie production called ‘Bodyguard’, in Patiala. Apparently the much loved celebrity managed t get himself into trouble as he was fined by the local authorities for smoking in public areas – in a public place of the hotel to be more specific.
It seems that the Patiala district administration took notice of this fact through a photograph published in a daily and made the decision to issue a challan to actor Sallu late on Tuesday. The photo in question was published and seen coincidentally as World No Tobacco Day. On official of the local administration said reporters that “We have issued challan on the basis of a photograph, showing Salman smoking at a public place in a hotel, published in a newspaper on Saturday. We have also issued a warning to the hotel authorities.”
It seems that a member of the crew received the noticed in the name of Salman Khan. So now either the super star of tinsel town or his representative will have to make an appearance in front of the district magistrate which will have to make a decision regarding the penalty amount.
Also a NGO from Patiala also wanted to serve a legal notice to the actor for smoking in a public area. On No Tobacco Day, the local administration also issued noticed for yet another 13 offenders at a bus stop for the same reason – smoking in public – and managed to collect Rs. 2,375 in fines.
