‘Shah Rukh nurtures young talent’

Mumbai: The creative content head of Red Chillies Entertainment – the production house of SRK – none other than Kanika Dhillon said in a recent statement that the King Khan is one of the few Bollywood producers that actually like to nurture young talent. Graduate of the London School of Economics (LSE) says that when she first came to work in the city of Mumbai, she knew right away that she only wanted to work with SRK. “Look at what he’s done, where he’s come from…and what he is today. His success story is a fable!” says Dhillon who is originally from Amritsar.

According to her, Shahrukh Khan is amongst the few film makers from the film industry of tinsel town that are always trying to promote the young talent and does not take into consideration their background, age, experience in the field or similar things like that. In the opinion of Kanika Dhillon, King Khan is a few of those people in the industry that actually has a clue regarding the younger generation and what they like or dislike, this being the thing that makes him exactly what it is.

As for Dhillon, it seems that she is ready for the launch of her very first novel called ‘Bombay Duck Is A Fish’ on Monday. From what we have been able to find out, the story of the book is centered on the life of a small town girl called Neki Brar. The novel traces her story, as she makes the decision to leave behind her cushy job in an international company to come to Mumbai and try to become a film maker.

And this is not all. Exactly like many other Indians, Neki is in love with the super star of Bollywood SRK. In many ways the story of Neki is similar to the one of Dhillon.
