Mumbai: The sensational Bolywood actress, Rani Mukerji is all set to celebrate her birthday with closest friends and relatives today, on the 21st of March. The actress who made her debut with a mid scale Tollywood film in the very early 1990s has scaled commendable heights in the Hindi Film industry and is now a very sought after star for certain genre of films.
Rani did great movies like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Water, Ghulam, No One Killed Jessica, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, etc that not just helped her to grow as an actress but also brought forth many critical accolades. The Karan Johar movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai earned her a Filmfare. It is presicely this time onwards that Karn Johar, Shah Rukh Khan, and such industrial biggies have become close friends with Rani. They attend each others’ birthdays and even throw around a few surprise parties squeezing in time from busy schedules.
Her romantic interests are presently vested in Aditya Chopra. Many celebrity blogs report saying that since her working in the Yash Chopra biggie Veer Zaara, where Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta along with the senior Bachchan, that is, Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini were a part of the star cast too, Aditya Chopra started showing interest in her and later on the love story blossomed behind the curtain , away from the media’s searching glare. However, they managed to keep their personal lives discreetly waya and all we know of is that Aditya and Rani are seeing each other and as of now, there has been no mention of marriage.
The Bengali beauty is the Daughter of Ram Mukherjee and Krishna Mukherjee and sister to Raja Mukherjee. Ram is co –owner of the Filmalaya studios. Rani is also second cousin to another accomplished Bollywood actress, Kajol. The change from Mukherjee to Mukerji was taken by Rani sometime in late 1990s.
This year, Rani Mukerji turns 34. Of course whether she celebrates her birthday with a posh party or decides to go low – profile and brings in that in vogue charity spirit is for us to wait and watch. Last year her birthday party took place on the 17th of March, celebrating both Holi with little sparks of colours and the actress’ turning 33 at Hotel Novotel in Juhu, Maharashtra, India. She looked electrifying in a blue over dress and later changed into a pretty looking saari.
