Dhobi Ghat star Monica Dogra caged

Mumbai: As you may know, the Bollywood singer and actress, none other than Monica Dogra appears in the brand new advertisement for PETA India. The beautiful Monica Dogra features the ad sitting inside a rustic cage with a hen and begs her fans to ‘try to relate to who is on their plate, go vegetarian’. The singer and actress, who decided to go vegetarian after finding out that animals are killed for the meat endure, is now asking everyone to switch to a vigorous and humane vegetarian diet.

The beautiful actress said in a recent interview granted to PETA that ‘I was raised eating meat. Around 12 years old, I remember reading … about factory farming and the way that – particularly chickens at that time – were being treated … and I remember feeling really harrowed and sad.’ After she has stop eating animals, Monica Dogra says that her ‘health improved’ and her ‘weight stabilized’. So according to her, following this vegetarian diet can bring one only satisfaction, including weight loss.

Besides featuring in Aamir Khan’s movie production called Dhobi Ghat, Monica Dogra is currently part of the hot music duo Shaa’ir + Func, which apparently have been named among the top emerging artists as well as the best independent artists by the well known international music channel VH 1. The Bollywood actress and singer is originally from the city of Baltimore. She has even graduated from the music program of the New York University.

As you may know, there are many celebrities that have joined PETA in order to promote the vegetarian lifestyle. Besides this tinsel town celebrity, Monica Dogra, other celebrities that have started this fight alongside PETA, include Pamela Anderson, Shahid Kapoor, Sir Paul McCartney, R Madhavan and Anil Kumble. Maybe Monica Dogra’s involvement in this popular project can indeed make a difference.
