Force Takes the Lead at BO

In the past month, Bollywood box office collections were never stable because there were many few movies that managed to impress the audiences. After Bodyguard and Mere Brother ki Dulhan none of the movies really made an impact. In the last week, Mausam did some business but it failed in the weekdays. This week five movies released together but John Abraham’s Force is surely on top in the race along with other movies like Saheb Biwi aur Gangster, Tere Mere Phere, Hum Tum Shabana and Chargesheet. Force directed by Nishikant Kamat is a brilliant action thriller that has John back in action after Dhoom and that is one of the main reasons why people are going for it.

Currently, Force has managed to get 90% of the audience and in some localities it has 100% records as well. This means that Force is definitely going to be a hit if the numbers continue the same way. Apart from Force, Saheb Biwi aur Gangster is another movie that people are appreciating because it has a great story line. However, the popularity of John over Jimmy Shergill is one factor that is keeping SBAG in the second spot. Hum Tum Shabana is on the third spot in the race and it manages to get lukewarm response.

Hum Tum Shabana did not managed to get good response because people have already seen the same formula thousand times and they don’t want to waste their money on poor performance by Tusshar and Minissha. Tere Mere Phere is a nice post marriage theme movie and the only striking factor about the movie is performance by Vinay Pathak. Apart from that there is nothing in the movie that audiences would enjoy. Chargesheet by Dev Anand was a disaster flop even before the movie was released and the pathetic response from the audience just proves that in just few days it will go down the drain.
