London Paris New York Box Office Collections – Reports and Earnings

Earnings of London Paris New York as of 11th March 2012 is INR 5.50 crores

Among all the films releasing on the same date as London Paris New York, the latter is definitely much better than the others. The film stars Pakistani actor Ali Zafar and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead. The film has been shot at upscale foreign locations, as is clear from the film’s name itself.

The film has been promoted fairly enough, with the actors packed up in busy schedules all over the world and even resorting to the TV world to make their film visible to people. Yet, the film has received a warm response, with a decent score of 30-40%.

This weekend has not been very great for box office, with the last week releases- Jodi Breakers and Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya- still going strong. However, it is expected that word of mouth publicity can help London Paris New York gain some momentum in the BO race.

The movie proved to be the highest earner as compared to other movies that released this Friday. With a mere 95 lacks the movie has nothing to boast of at the box office. The territorial break down of the movie is as follows:

Mumbai – 40 lakhs

Delhi/UP – 23 lakhs

East Punjab – 10 lakhs

West Bengal – 3 lakhs

CP Berar – 2.5 lakhs

CI – 2 lakhs

Rajasthan – 3.5 lakhs

Nizam – 3 lakhs

Mysore – 5 lakhs

Others – 3 lakhs

TOTAL – 95 lakhs

The weekend is expected to bring about a steady rise in the box office collections of the movie. Let’s see if it does better business in the couple days.

Updates:

The weekend finally infused some life in the box office collection of the movie. However when compared to Paan Singh Tomar the Ali Zafar starer seems to have done poor business. After an approx 1 crore collection on day 1, London Paris New York made a moderate 1.25 crores at the Saturday box office. This collection further increased to about 1.50 crores on Sunday. The final box office collection of London Paris New York thus stands at about 3.75 crores as of the 4th of March 2012. We do not expect the movie to make a lot more. With big releases lined up next week this week is sure to be the grave of this movie.

The movie only made about 5.50 crores in its first week.  It seems the movie proved to be a bigger disaster than expected. It’s high time Ali Zafar realized that movies he does as solo actor will not do any good at the box office. The total box office collection of this film is not even expected to touch the 10 crore mark in its lifetime collections.
