21 Stars, some Vibrant Singers, Some great Musicians, One Great Song – Vande Matram. Yes we are talking about India’s National song which on the eve of the 63rd Republic Day has been re-created to induce a new wave of freshness and the re-create the patriotic flavour amongst the new age Indians.
With the 63rd Republic Day just a few hours away, this is indeed a perfect Republic Day treat as the song cum video features 21 artistes across Indian Music and has a plethora of stars being a part of this anthem.
Conceived by VEECON GROUP and launched under the music label Veecon Music and Entertainment, the new rendition has been composed by the legendary Tabla Maestro Bikram Ghosh.
The song’s original conceptualisation has been done by J.K Srivastava – Managing Director Veecon Music and Entertainment. The song has vocals by some eminent singers like Shankar Mahadevan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shubha Mudgal, Mahalakshmi Iyer , Sonu Nigaam, Palaash Sen of Euphoria fame and Indian Ocean amongst other legendary artists.
Bikram Ghosh the composer states that the song is a tribute to the India that we are living in. The serene, beautiful India and by listening to the song one can actually feel it.
Adding on Srivastava says that bringing 21 artistes highlights the Unity in Diversity that truly exists in India.
24 colourful, grand sets were especially created to film the song thus making it very vibrant and colourful.
The six minute video was released at a special function in Delhi and shall be relayed across 60 airports and news channels on 26th January. The song encapsulates 3 flavours of Indian Music – Classical, Bollywood and Rock. The song begins with a classical note rendered by Sonu Nigaam and explores the Indian folklore music before it takes off to the Rock version rendition by the band Indian Ocean.
Not so long ago A.R. Rahman made his version of Vande Matram – Maa Tujhe Salaam and it just struck a chord. We are sure that this rendition by Ghosh too shall be there in hearts and minds of people and shall continue to induce the patriotic fervour in our hearts and souls.
