Aishwarya Rai to be honoured by BS Yedurappa

The latest honour to come along Aishwarya Rai Bachhan’s way is the felicitation by the Karnataka Chief Minister B.S Yedurappa at the second Vishwa Kannada Sammelan to be held in Belgaum on 11th March. The award will be presented to Aishwarya Rai for her excellent work in the  field of arts and culture in India and worldwide.

According to the spokesperson the Vishwa Kannada Sammelan aims to highlight the development made by the State of Karnataka in

the fields of information & technology, arts & culture, irrigation and bio technology. The event will be a three day affair where people who have made a difference in Karnataka will be honoured which also includes Narayana Murthy, the founder of Infosys.

Aishwarya Rai is expected to be present at the inauguration of the event as she will be honoured soon after the event begins. She has

been applauded for her role in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s last production “Guzaarish” where she played the role of a nurse to the paralysis struck Hrithik Roshan.

Chief Minister BS Yedurappa is the chief guest for the event where several high profile names will be making an appearance to show their gratitude to the state of Karnataka.
