New Delhi: Sanjay Dutt has had a pretty lousy time for a while now. The actor held the headlines recently for all the wrong reasons, mostly for the charges filed against him at the Allahabad High Court, for using derogatory words against the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mayawati.
We are now relived and pleased to say that the actor has been cleared of all charges. He can now breathe relaxed, and put behind him the dark times he has been through in the past year.
‘Main Mayawatiji ko jaadu ki jhappi aur pappi dono doonga’ were the words that brought the problems for the actor. The quote is from 2009, from one of his rallies. Government officials took great offence from to his words, and decided to fill a case against Sanjay. Although the actor apologized for his statements, saying that it was all just a misunderstanding and that he did not mean for it to get this big, the officials were not pleased and thus the case continued.
Now the court made a verdict: nothing was indecent or obscene in his statement.
