After giving one of the biggest blockbuster of Indian film industry ever in the name of ‘Chennai Express’, Shah Rukh Khan is back again! And this, he is not into comedy but is in for some action! ‘Happy New Year’ is here on the new year eve. What could have been a better timing to launch the poster of a movie that has itself been titled ‘Happy New Year’? Only our dimpled superstar could have thought so!

Here we present you the first look poster of the movie.


While the poster has been released much ahead of its Diwali release, other details of the movie being kept under closed wraps. But as we can see in poster, there is  our favorite King Khan in rugged with the sultry Deepika Padukone looking nothing less than a diva. It is to be reminded that this Deepika’s third movie with SRK after the superhit ‘Om Shanti Om’ and the all-time-blockbuster ‘Chennai Express’. Will the superhit pair create the same magic again?


Other members of the cast include big names as Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood and the very talented Boman Irani. Also, we can see the Nasseruddin Shah’s son, Vivaan Shah crouched in the poster. As per reports, the actor plays the role of a hacker in the movie.

Given poses around a safety vault, the poster hints that ‘Happy New Year’ is a heist movie. The last heist movie in Bollywood was super thriller, ‘Special 26’. Will ‘Happy New Year’ surpass the benchmarks set by ‘Special 26’? Or will it create new ones? We will see!

As reported earlier, Prabhu Deva has a cameo in a song too, that has been titled ‘India Waale’, and according to latest reports, Farah Khan is planning to rope in a numero uno star in a song too. To find out who the star is, click here.

As per reports, director Farah Khan had planned ‘Happy New Year’ after making her debut movie, ‘Main Hoon Na’ but had to complete ‘Om Shanti Om’ and ‘Tees Maar Khan’ first. She completed scripting the movie in October 2012 and the shooting started filming it from October 2013 in Dubai.

Produced by Gauri Khan under her Red Chillies Entertainment, the movie will release in the festive weekend of Diwali, 2014.
