Indian Princess, the beauty pageant which has been giving platform to Indian girls to showcase their talent on international platform gave a chance to Indian girls staying abroad to come to India and take part in the beauty pageant.
25 beautiful Indian girls who have represented India in beauty pageants of other countries would came together for a gala pageant to compete and add yet another feather in their cap – or crown in this context – through Indian Princess International.
Indian Princess helmed by Sunil Rane is a unique pageant where students of fashion designing from Atharva College are put together the whole show associated with charitable causes like education for underprivileged girl child and for the cause of Indian Army martyrs. After auditions in 20 cities, 30 finalists who got together in Mumbai after visiting the families of Indian Army shaheeds in Jammu and Kashmir, Udhampur and Trivendrum, left for Ganpati Phule near Ratnagiri where they went through a fitness and grooming session before the grand finale that took place in March in Mumbai among glitz and glamour.
From the past two years the finale of the pageant has seen renowned designers like Wendell Rodricks, Rohit Bal amongst others but this year the whole show had costumes of the students although the show stopper costume was designed by Ahana Deol, daughter of actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini.
