The latest of the several Award functions in the Bollywood circuit the third annual Golden Kela Awards has earned quite a few supporters in the likes of Vishal Bharadwaj, Vikramaditya Motwane and Abhishek Chaubey. They believe that although it is indeed difficult to admit that one has made a bad film but at the same time people should learn to see the lighter side of things.
Among the top awarded honours were the Golden Kela award for best actor (male) which was given to, none other than the Baadshah of Bollywood, ShahRukh Khan for his performance in Karan Johar’s ‘My Name is Khan’ which also took home the award for the ‘Worst Film’. Sonam Kapoor won the accolades for being the ‘Worst Actor (Female)’ for her performance in her home production ‘Aisha’. Kangana Ranaut bagged not only three nominations in the ‘Worst Supporting Actor Female’ category, she even got to take the Golden Kela home.
Then there were the Anti-Kela awards which were specially included to show appreciation for the saving graces of 2010. Udaan was the most lauded. Others that bagged awards in this segment were, Love, Sex aur Dhokha, Ishqiya, Do Dooni Char among others. Ram Gopal Verma was awarded a special Kela mention requesting him to stop making films.
