New York – rapper Ja Rule will be going to prison but he would not leave his followers in vain since he have an album to leave them.
The rapper turned actor who made it big because of his duets with numerous divas become an instant celebrity back in early 2000’s. This Wednesday, he got his sentence of two year in prison for carrying a gun on his car.
On Tuesday afternoon, he tweeted that this was his last day as a freeman; he spent it watching some movies together with his families.
The 35 year old rapper has pleaded guilty last December for the crime of possession of firearms. Upon his plead, the 4 year old case is now resolved.
Back in July 22, 2007, he was arrested by policemen because a cop found a loaded gun inside his sports car, this incident takes place after his concert at Manhattan’s Beacon Theatre. On a separate case his co-rapper Lil Wayne also go arrested after leaving the said concert with the same charge. He then pleaded guilty and has spent about eight months in prison last year.
In a day show from New York’s Fox 5 TV station he said that law is law and there is nothing that he could do about it but administer to it.
He added that he didn’t regret anything since he have done those things and he isn’t afraid to suffer from his mistake. The entire mistake will help him to become a better man.
Like Jeffrey Atkins, Ja Rule also becomes a hardcore rapper in the late 90’s, however he only become famous when he had worked together with diva like Jennifer Lopez and Ashanti. His album “Pain Is Love” got him Grammy Award nomination in 2002. Aside from the album he also appeared in movie like “Fast and the Furious 1” and “Scary Movie 3.”
His newest album, “Pain Is Love 2,” is coming and is expected to become a hit like the previous one but his mind is not focus on it right now since he is worried about the prison sentence which he is about to undergo.
