“Agar aapko aisa lagta hai ki hum logon ne aap par koi ehsaan kiya hai, toh aap thank you mat kahiye. Instead, teen logon ki madat kijiye aap.”
After a long wait of more than half and a year, our favourite Salman Khan is finally back to set the silver screen ablaze. The trailer of the long anticipated movie, ‘Jai Ho’, is finally here.
The 1:19 minute long trailer is all action-packed, like we all had expected. There’s a powerful politician, with evil plans, as obvious, and then there’s our action star giving moral speeches about the ‘aam aadmi’. ‘Aam aadmi’ is quite a rage these days, no? However, what we had not expected from the charming superstar is to repeat himself once again. A entry with a massy dailogue, ground-breaking kicks that crashes goons to every car around and the same jaw-breaking punches that makes dozens of gundas fly away. Haven’t we seen it somewhere? Let me guess.. Mmmm.. It’s Wanted! No, it’s Dabangg! No no no, it’s definately Ek Tha Tiger, dude!
Actually, it’s just another Salman Khan flick with the same tried-and-tested setting. No doubt the movie will set the box-office ringing all again, but novelty? Where is it, Sallu Bhai? We, your fans, are sure to welcome you on he 70mm screen, but it’s high time try some new genres as well, and not just action. The trailer gives a feel that this is nothing but a cocktail of Wanted, Dabangg and Ek The The Tiger, with a pinch of patriotism. Yes, it’s the same. We are no fool here.
Sometimes I miss seeing Salman play a Prem, really. The beautiful smile that he used to flaunt was what had pillared his super stardom. A powerful body doesn’t mean you should just keep kicking the Chhedi Singhs, bhai.
For now, the trailer is honestly a repeat, a disappointment.
Directed by Sohail Khan, Jai Ho is the remake of Chiranjeev starrer, Tamil hit, ‘Stalin’. Salman plays the role of an army veteran while Daisy Shah plays the female lead. It is all set to release on January 24, 2014.

In the middle of the trailer, our action star mouths a seetimaar dailogue, “Aam aadmi sota hua sher hai, ungli mat kar! Jaag gaya to cheer faad kar dega!”
So, Mr. Aam aadmi, kaisa laga trailer? Box-office ka cheed faad hoga ya Salman ka? Give it a dekko and comment!
