Kings XI Punjab lost their favorite

Bangalore: The Bollywood star Preity Zinta and the Kings XI Punjab co-owner are very disappointed. Preity says she is sad to have lost the all rounder Irfan Pathan. They’re situation is not that dark, as they have bought Adam Gilchrist, the former Australian wicket-keeper. This was just the first session of the auction, and the fourth leg of the IPL is coming up on Saturday.

The staff of Kings XI Punjab tried the best they could to bring Irfan back to play for them, but the Delhi Daredevils didn’t even want to hear this. Kings XI bid as high as $1.8 million for the player, but the Daredevils won with $1.9 million.

All those passionate about cricket know that Irfan is a great player, an excellent swing bowler and good batsman. He also has an appropriate temperament, and Preity said that he is her favorite player.

The Kings XI are not in an unfavorable situation, though. They bought the retired Australian for $900,000.Gilchrist had led Deccan Charges to win the second edition of the league.
