Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor are not just childhood friends, they made their debut in to Hindi Cinema with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya. Both their families have known each other for years now, thanks to their father’s Anil Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor being a major part of Bollywood. They were rumoured to have had a brief relationship but deny the claims vehemently.
Well who would have thought that the extremely amiable, friend to all and foe to none, Karan Johar would be the cause for a rift between the two, indirectly. The talk show Koffee with Karan acted as the starting agent for this rift. After Sonam’s and Deepika’s less than complimentary remarks about Ranbir on the show, Rishi Kapoor was to say the least furious. His anger was evident in hisscathing remarks in print about her and the show.
Sonam had expected Ranbir to intervene and apologize believing he that all that was said was done so in jest. But, in a recent interview with Filmfare Magazine she confirmed that she and he childhood buddies were not at all on talking terms and had completely lost touch with one another.
