The first trailer of the Ayushmann-Sonam starrer ‘Beewakoofiyaan’ is out! While Sonam tasted success with her last movie, ‘Raanjhanna’, Ayushmann’s last, ‘Nautanki Saala’ was couldn’t set the box-office ringing. However, it looks like things are going to change for the ‘Vicky Donor’ actor noe. The trailer hits a bull’s eye in giving us a perfect glimpse of the movie. It is funny and says what it was meant to.
Ayushmann plays Mohit Chaddha, a marketing executive, and Sonam plays Mayera Sehgal, a succesful corporate leader, in the movie. Lost in each other’s arm, the couple believes that love is the food of life and they will survive too. However, things start to change once Sonam’s strict dad, played by the brilliant Rishi Kapoor, comes into the picture. The non-indulgent dad may not be against his daughter’s choice but believes that money is the most crucial thing in life and Mohit is not a man, since he earns lesser than his would-be. Believing that Mohit is not the right choice, he sets out on a mission to find a groom for his daughter who can fulfill all her wishes.
While the proceedings were just full of hiccups, things worsen once Mohit looses his job. Not just has the guy lost his job, he is bankrupt too. To save the grace, Mohit and Mayera lies to Mayera’s father about Mohit’s earning, which leads to a series of lies , forming the fun quotient of the trailer.
Ayushmann is top-rate in his role, since he is achiever coming from a middle class background in his real life too. And Sonam is quite apt in her role as well. The fashion diva slips into the role with ease and their chemistry is quite as well.
The highlight of the movie is the pool scene where Sonam is spotted flaunting her toned body in a fuchsia bikini. The girl looks deliciously hot in the scene.
Directed by Nupur Ashthana (who has directed ‘Mujhse Fraandship Karoge’ in the past) and written by the versatile writer-director Habib Faisal, the movie is set in New Delhi and is scheduled to release on March 14, 2014.
