Adnan Sami is a familiar name in Bollywood. He became famous after performing some of the most liked songs, such as “Lift Kara De” and “Kabhi Toh Nazar Milaao”, and is now facing his music, thanks to the Enforcement Directorate. It seems that the ED has confiscated Adnan’s properties, as the singer could not own any properties in Mumbai.
Adnan Sami bought eight properties and five other parking spaces, all of which were seized under the FEMA (Foreign Exchange Management Act). Adnan has a Pakistani nationality, and he is not allowed to own any properties in India.
FEMA is not the only thing causing distress to Adnan, as the Reserve Bank of India has not given him the permission to purchase properties, and according to the official statements, Adnan is being charged with this as well.
Adnan has bought eight flats in Andheri, in total value of Rs. 2.53 crores. The actor is still paying for them, as he had to take up a loan in value of Rs. 1.5 crores for the purchase. Apart from his loss, the singer was also striped of Rs 20 lakh, representing a fine.
