Ram Gopal Varma and his choice of ladies always remain in the news for something or the other. In fact his movies now-a-days do not make as much news as his actresses. And this time Ramu has hit the headlines once again for all the wrong reasons.
Bollywood director Ram Gopal Verma seems to have developed a rather sudden liking towards his new lead lady Madhu Shalini. The actress has been casted for his upcoming Bolly flick Department. There have been rumours that Ramu plans of shooting a high budget song entitled ‘Thodi Si’ on Madhu. The song is to be shot in Mumbai’s Mehboob Studios and is expected to cost over a crore Indian Rupees.
Last we saw Ramu making a movie ‘Not A Love Story’ in a budget or merely 80 lakhs. One cannot help by wonder why the director is so keen on shelling out such a huge sum of money for merely one song sequence. Now this does not happen without something brewing and we sure know Ramu is slipping once again.
The actress in question here Madhu Shalini was initially based in Hyderabad and has made appearances in both Telugu and Tamil Films. A close source has stated that Ram Gopal Varma was introduced to the actress by a close friend Puri Jagannath. This meeting supposedly happened during the shoots of ‘Buddah Hoga Tera Baap’. Ramu then was busy shooting ‘Not A Love Story’ but it seems he did not take long to shift his focus to Madhu. The director soon signed up Madhu for a film that he is co-producing along with Sanjay Dutt. And the closeness between the director and actress seem to have only grown by the day.
Other interests of Ram Gopal Varma in the past have been Urmila Matondkar, Antara Mali, Jiah Khan and Nisha Kothari. It seems the director cannot help but keep introducing fresher’s and then hit the headlines for relationship issues.
