‘Ra.One’ is indeed the most important project ever of Shah Rukh Khan’s life. Much is at stake and the star is doing all that takes to make the movie a block buster hit. There is nothing untouched in the marketing strategy designed for ‘Ra.One’ and yet the Badshah of Bollywood seems to be turning salesman to promote his dream project.
It seems the mega star is turning himself into a salesman on the small screen to sell off ‘Ra.One’ merchandise. The actor who is now 45 years by age is hell bent on entering everyone’s living rooms using the medium of television. ‘Ra.One’ merchandise will be showcased in a specially shot series on the virtual retail platform HOmeShop18.
This is taking movie marketing to a completely new level for the first time in Bollywood. Now audiences from all over the globe can have a memento of their favourite superhero G.One.
HomeShop18 is now the official shopping partner for ‘Ra.One’ and movie merchandise can be purchased on its shopping channel on the television or online on its website.
“I would like everyone to watch the movie and bring home G.One. Through this association, we are trying a new form of movie marketing in India, much like the practice in Hollywood. We want our audiences to not only get entertained by Ra.One but also get a chance to own a piece of the movie as they shop in the comfort of their homes,” SRK was heard commenting.
‘Ra.One’ merchandises include elements like car danglers, key chains, wristbands, fridge magnets, toy laptops, coin bank, exam boards, sipper set, notebooks, stationary sets, lunch box, pencil box and Frisbees. Seems SRK did not want to miss out on even a single thing while planning the merchandise sales.
“Shahrukh wanted to take the merchandise to families across the country and we are happy to provide him with the platform,” says Sundeep Malhotra the Founder and CEO of HomeShop18.
