Akshay Kumar’s ‘Gabbar’ sees a change of female lead

shraddha-kapoor-akshay-kumar-While it was reported a couple of months back that Aashiqui girl, Shraddha Kapoor has been signed opposite Akshay Kumar in ‘Gabbar’, the latest news is that she is no more part of the movie.

After giving a superhit, ‘Ram-Leela’, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is once again donning the hat of a producer and he has pushed his production a little further. Earlier he had plans to release ‘Gabbar’ on August 15, 2014 but the movie has now been pushed to the later part of 2014.  And this delay has resulted in Shraddha being out of the team; reasons best known to them.

But who will replace Shraddha is what we ask.

Sources close to the movie claim that Shruti Haasan or Jacquline Fernandez may be roped in to play Shraddha’s part. She was to play the role of an honest lawyer, Devaki. However, be it Shraddha, Shruti or Jacquline, the makers of the movie are sure to introduce a fresh pairing to the silver screen.

Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and directed by Krish, ‘Gabbar’ is a remake of the Tamil blockbuster ‘Ramanna’. The 2002 movie has already been made in Telugu and Kannada as well. So hopes from this movie are already high, considering Akshay’s string of flop movies. So all we can say is, all the best, Akshay!
