Even before the shooting of the movie “Dabangg 2” took place, “Dabangg 2” made it to the news for all the wrong reasons. The news portals that deal with Bollywood gossips were abuzz with the feud between Abhinav Singh Kashyap, the director of “Dabangg” and Arbaaz Khan, the producer of “Dabangg”. The on growing tension between director Abhinav Singh Kashyap and the producer Arbaaz Khan came in front of the media and later it was revealed that Arbaaz Khan who was the producer in the prequel would be directing the sequel.
The entire plot of “Dabangg 2” shifts from the rural background to the high tech, urban background. In place of Laalgunj, Uttar Pradesh, the proceedings of “Dabangg 2” are set to take place in the city of Mumbai. “Dabangg 2” promises to bring in more action than what the viewers saw in the prequel. “Dabangg 2” would see Sonu Sood reprising the role of the comic villain Chedi Singh. He will play a double role as he portrays the evil, twin brother of Chedi Singh.
“Dabangg 2” is going to give more screen space to the villains. It seems that the makers of “Dabangg 2” did not get enough of the villainous acts of Sonu Sood. Get ready for some more villainous acts as the makers of this film have roped in Prakash Raj to play one of the villains in the sequel. And what makes it interesting is that both the actors are said to have prominent roles in the upcoming Bollywood flick. The comic timing of Prakash Raj as a villain is superb. Viewers experienced his coming timing in films like Wanted and Singham and are surely waiting eagerly to see this talented actor from the South make his mark in “Dabangg 2”.
Rumors said that Sonu Sood wanted to quit “Dabaang 2” because he felt his character did not have enough importance as compared to that of Prakash Raj. The rumors even said that Sonu Sood was even ready to leave the ship. But later Arbaaz Khan cleared that the rumors are baseless and Sonu Sood is very much part of “Dabangg 2”.
While all these actions are taking place, the center of all attraction, Salman “Chulbul Pandey” Khan is busy shooting for the film “Ek Tha Tiger”. This is a romantic film that has lots of action scenes. It is expected that once Salman Khan’s burden gets lightened, he will be ready to start the shoot for “Dabangg 2” which is expected to go on the floors from March 9. Although Salman Khan’s Chulbul Pandey is the protagonist of the movie, Salman’s elder brother Arbaaz is going to have a dominant presence in “Dabangg 2”. Besides being the director and producer of the film, Arbaaz is also going to reprise the role of Chulbul Pandey’s elder brother Makkhi in “Dabangg 2”. And last but not the least; Kareena Kapoor has been roped in to do an item number for “Dabangg 2” on the lines of “Munni Badnam Hui” that was performed by Malaika Arora Khan in the 2010 film “Dabangg”.
