First impressions on Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji

Mumbai: Madhur Bhandarkar finally gives up the pattern he was following for a while now, that of a serial killer, and moved on to something different, a romantic comedy. Madhur does tend to get a bit cynical when it comes to romance, so it is a nice change to see him rediscover love.

The three friends, the divorced Ajay Devgn, the eternal romantic Omi Vaidya and the commitment phobic Emraan Hashmi share the same roof, and finally end up bonding, moments which bring out real laughs from the audience.

Sure, the film does have a series of clichéd situations, for both the Bollywood and the Hollywood romance films, and the turns of events are more than predictable. The three actors make a nice trio, though, and play off their roles impeccably.

The story line of the film if very easy to predict, and probably the audience will not remain with much after this film. But watching it can be a pleasant experience. It could have been better, but it could have also been much worse.
