And if you cannot have enough of that fantabulous film then you can now catch its remake titled ‘Nanban’ which is slated to hit theatres this Friday. ‘Nanban’ is the official Tamil remake of ‘3 Idiots’ and has been dazzling under heavy spotlight ever since it went on floors. Being a remake of the biggest Bolly blockbuster, it has stirred the fancy of the entire South Indian film industry and is expected to shatter some serious box office records.
Reasons why ‘Nanban’ is being hailed as a record setter: Packed with some of the biggest stars from down South, ‘Nanban’ is a highly awaited film that is set for an explosive opening. It’s being launched on a grand scale on foreign shores as well including countries like US, Singapore and Malaysia. And it doesn’t harm that its release date will coincide with the popular Indian festival ‘Pongal’. The holiday season & festive fervor is likely to boost the ticket sales of the film directed by S. Shankar, the renowned film maker.
If that’s not enough then there are a few more reasons why the film is being hailed as the one that will set fresh records. Though, it is the remake of ‘3 Idiots’, director Shankar has deftly introduced some changes to keep the viewers guessing. And the book on which the plot is based can be found in almost every home (that’s the power of Bhagat’s ‘Five point someone’).
And yet the biggest USP of the film is its powerful star ensemble of Vijay, Jeeva, Ileana, Srikanth, Sathyaraj and Santhanam. Come Friday and the frenzy can make the sky fall down.
