New Delhi: The King Khan has made a decision to preserve the Indian classics, and through the means of his company, Red Chillies Entertainment, his first move in this matter will be making a documentary of the most important and magnificent magnum opus made so far, entitled “Mughal-e-Azam”. The documentary will be showing how the film “Mughal-e-Azam”, a classic of the Indian cinema industry, was evolved from black and white to a colored film, and how it was preserved for the generations to come.
Akbar Asif, the son of K. Asif, took the initiative to make the documentary, as an attempt of keeping alive the cinematic treasure. Thus, he managed to release the colored version of this epic film, with the help of Sharoopji Mistry, back in 2006. Today, he thought it was time to take another step to preserving their legends.
Shahrukh Khan stated that there are many such classics in the Indian film industry, all worth the effort. The negatives and prints of the films are decaying, as they have been stacked for too long.
