“Players” to be the first Bollywood movie to be shot at the Arctic Circle

The Abbas – Mustaan duo will be shooting at Murmansk, Russia for their next movie Players which will make it the first Bollywood movie ever to be shot in the Arctic Circle creating a record.

The Players team had been shooting in New Zealand for the past few weeks and they just moved out of there before the earthquake struck the picturesque country. Murmansk is their next destination which they will be covering in June when there is daylight for 21 hours and the temperatures increase up to -5 degree Celsius from -40 degree Celsius.

Shooting for Players will be held for a period of 34 days during which all the actors including Neil Nitin Mukesh, Abhishek Bachchan, Omi Vaidya, Sikander Kher and the Abbas Mustaan duo will be staying together in Murmansk.

Abbas – Mustaan have left no scope for any kind of trouble their unit might have to face due to the slippery icy roads by arranging for military type trucks which will be used to transport their team around. Also keeping in mind the low oxygen levels they have arranged for multiple chambers of oxygen which will be needed at higher altitudes.

Players is the official Bollywood remake of the 2003 Hollywood hit “The Italian Job”.
