‘If you are looking for love, get lost’! Yes, that’s what the first trailer of Deepika Padukone-Arjun Kapoor starrer ‘Finding Fanny’ teaches us. No, it doesn’t ask you to get away but to get lost, literally.
The 2 minutes 35 seconds long trailer introduces us to a group of Goans who are on a road trip to find Fanny and how they get lost in the journey.
While Deepika plays Angie, a cheerful virgin whose husband kissed him and died fifteen minutes before their marriage, Arjun is seen playing Savio, an Goan who seems to be quite irritated with life. The ever-beautiful Dimple Kapadia plays his mother, who believes his painting his dead husband’s picture pink so that he appears to be in a ‘pink state of health’. She is charming as the old lady who is looking love for herself and claims to be capable to ‘portect’ herself. Funny, no? Such is the feel of the trailer. While the dialogues stand out for being straight-in-the-face and yet funny, the scenes are a relief to the eyes for being beautifully shot in locales of Goa.
And not be missed are the veterans Pankaj Kapur and Naseeruddin Shah. The simple and lovable Naseer is sure to win over you with his heartwarming act and Pankaj is there to add spice to the movie as he is too flirtatious for his age.
The movie is about a road trip this group in a quest to find Naseer’s love of life, Fanny Fernandes, and how their equations change during the journey.
The trailer truly stands out for being light and shows a fresh slice of its star cast. From the looks of it, the does promise to be a spring of surprises.
