Ace actor/producer Aamir Khan is worried with the high production cost of ‘Delhi Belly’ which is an adult comedy produced under the banner of Aamir Khan’s Production. At a time when filmmakers are splurging money on their movies, Aamir Khan is concerned about the budget of his next production ‘Delhi Belly’. The cost might touch Rs 25 crore, which the actor-filmmaker feels is high for an adult comedy. Whereas you may think that Aamir Khan has acted smart by making films like Peepli Live, which was made with a very low cost, the fact remains that all the films produced under his banner have been made with an amount, which has always been in limits. “Its budget is on higher side. It would end somewhere between Rs 20 to Rs 25 crore, which doesn’t include promotion. I am worried about that. We are trying to keep as low as possible right now,” said Aamir. “All my films have gone over budget to different degrees. I feel I am not a hardcore producer who fixes budgets before starting a film and no-matter what, he makes sure he doesn’t have to spend a penny more. I am more of a creative person. It happens with all my films. For one reason or the other, it always exceeds the stipulated budget,” he further added. But the main concern is that this film Delhi Belly is releasing on 1st July and it is clashing with megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s Bbuddah… Hoga Tera Baap. Now producer Aamir Khan must be thinking that the film does well in the box office and he can recover the money which he invested.
