Aishwarya slashes her fees for Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Heroine’

Though our B-town has got over the blues of recession, but it is yet to get flooded with blockbusters. Keeping the average performers aside, year 2011 still has to see some money minting projects. And a good film with bankable stars tends to cater a high budget. Bollywood beauties and Handsome hunks raise their salary considering their box office hit, but do not think about cutting down their prices if it fails at the box office. Madhur Bhandarkar’s upcoming movie “Heroine” is also said to have landed up with a tight budget something around Rs 18 crore. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has decided to cut down her fees and she will be sharing profit with Arjun Rampal, Madhur Bhandarkar and UTV. Arjun Rampal who is also part of the huge production has accepted to cut down his salary. The movie apart from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has three other ladies who would be part of crucial roles and the team alongside Director Madhur Bhandarkar has taken up cutting down the salary seriously. A source said, “Every actor including Aishwarya Rai, Arjun Rampal and even Madhur Bhandarkar himself have slashed their fee.” Adding to it sources said,“It’s a sensible business decision. Ash and Arjun will be sharing the profits of the film. They are confident of ‘Heroine’s’ prospects at the Box Office.” The CEO of UTV Motion Pictures said,“We have worked very successfully with Madhur in the past. Getting a film made within the right budget is crucial to insuring its commercial success. On Heroine too, we have insured the same.”
