Akshay Goes for Diversity

There are certain Bollywood actors that don’t like to take risks because they believe that audience love them in particular niche. Akshay Kumar has always made his mark in Bollywood as one of the best action heroes but later he decided to go for some change and he moved on to comedies. However, it seems like none of his comedy movies have worked at the box office recently and therefore he has decided to go for some diversity in the future. Akshay is probably the busiest actors in Bollywood now along with Salman Khan as he will have five movies releasing this year.

The actor will be first seen in Housefull 2, a comedy directed by Sajid Khan which will be out in the theaters in April followed by Rowdy Rathore, an action movie which is directed by Prabhu Deva. He will then be seen in Joker, a fantasy adventure film which is directed by Shirish Kunder and thereafter he will be seen in Khiladi 786 which is yet another comedy action movie directed by Ashish R Mohan. He will also be seen in Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai 2 but so far the release date for the movie has not been announced.

Talking more about his films Akshay said that some of the movies were planned to be released in 2011 but got postponed and therefore there are five releases in 2012. He also said that since all the movies belong to different genre people will enjoy watching him over and over in different characters. However, he denied that choosing different characters and genres were not a part of the strategy that could make him the top khiladi in the business. However, this will definitely give him some chance to prove himself and to get back in business after series of flops in the last few years.
