Mumbai: Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha starrer Rowdy Rathod, the production of Ronnie Screvwala and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, has been in the air generating the liking among the masses. To add more sparkles to the movie, the producers hired the team of street painters to create a portrait for the flick focusing on the leading stars – Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha.
The movie unit described the saga that Akki and Sonakshi had to stand still constantly in same position in front of the painters for more than four hours so that the painters could create a masterpiece. And yes, they did!
These four street painters created four various versions which will be released some time later for the masses. It was learnt that behind the hiring of the street painters for the portraits and other artwork was Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Sanjay liked to reinvent the art form of the 80s era, which has been washed out due to the digital and technological advancement age.
Akshay Kumar is utterly happy with the poster. He is making his comeback to action films after a long hiatus delivering comedies and romantic movie. He told that the posters revealed the action theme aptly and this was the beauty that attracted him.
First hand-made poster was released on Diwali and the next one was out on the Eve of New Year. The industry insider told that the makers were releasing the posters of the movie on occasions to encash them. Prabhu Deva, the dancing icon of the south industry, directs this movie. Akshay sports moustache in this flick. Last time he did so in the film ‘Sabse Bada Khiladi’ in 1995.
The film is on high heels of popularity well before the time and the makers are trying very hard to create the biggest hype of the film to make it more popular.
