Mumbai: Amar Upadhyay, who is quite popular among the masses, got further famed when he stepped into the house of Bigg Boss season 5. Well, the actor is now all geared up for his television and movie errands. On TV, he will be seen very soon in a new show where he will be enacting the negative character. On this show, Amar told that he heard the narrative and found it much interesting. The legal formalities are being worked out between him and the TV show makers.
In addition to the TV show, Upadhyay will also be seen in films. In a movie titled ‘Klub Lodhi Road’, he is doing the character of a righteous police officer. The film is said to be based on a real life story and it is being directed by Saurab Kabra. The film talks about the true saga of the exceptional cops who took the bigger responsibility of eliminating the crime in the capitol city of India, Delhi.
Since the inspiration of the movie has been taken from the real life incidents and real personalities of the police department, the movie also depicts the gallantry and the courage of the cops on screen. It also shows the politics run in the official department of police in addition to the showing of the cops’ working style.
Amar enacts the role named Surya, who is the youngest of all in special cell. He happens to be a well trained sharp shooter of the department. He is the one who is roped in whenever encounters are required.
Amar reveals that the movie carries the true encounters ‘ sequences – the encounters such as Bunty Gurjar, Munna Bajrangi and Yaseen. He goes on saying that the flick also consists of the famed terrorist encounters such as the ones done on Parliament, Batla House and Ansal Plaza. The film also shows off the lives of those men who managed with the attack on Parliament in Delhi.
In addition to Amar Upadhyay, others who do the main lead in the movie include KK Menon and Manoj Joshi.
