Bollywood’s Mr.Perfectionist Amir Khan fell in love with a snake boat in Kerala. TM.Rafeeq of Pakka Pakka Ad films says “Seeing school children in a small fishing craft, Aamir got into a similar boat and was very excited,” They were shooting for promos of an ad when this incident happened. Amir as usual was experimenting with his latest project and the ad director was test shooting when the incident happened. The project deals with the people across India and their different style of living across various states.
Kochi.wjere the shooting was in progress is famous for Chinese fishing nets at Fort Kochi and Amir was even fascinated with them and taking his time, examining them closely. He even tried to operate one of them. These 500yr old fishing nets are fast vanishing from the coastline of Kochi due to huge maintenance costs and low fish catching efficiency. Keralites call them as Cheena Vala which have been brought by Portuguese from once Portuguese colony Macau.
Amir praised Keralites saying “Keralites are very friendly people,” and he was left wondering at the huge fans who thronged at Fort Kochi and Alapuzha to catch a glimpse of the top star. He said he never knew that he had such a following in Kerala and readily obliged them with autographs. Amir even expressed his wish of starring in a Malayalam film quipping “I would love to if the role is such that the person does not know the language,”. The ‘3-Idiots’ star is presently starring in a film titled ‘Talaash’ and even signed for the sequel of ‘Dhoom’ which is titled ‘Dhoom-3-back in action’. It has to be seen with great interest whether his love for snake boats and Chinese fishing nets, spur Amir to star in a Malayalam film. You never knew knowing his penchant for experimentation and trying to do new things.
