When Amitabh Bachchan was shooting for ‘Eklavya- The Royal Guard’ with filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra, he had been warned about the latter’s hot temper by none other than Jaya Bachchan. However, Big B actually enjoyed collaborating with Chopra.
When Bachchan had broken the news to his wife that he would be working with Vidhu and would have to go for an outdoor shooting for one month, she had remarked that their temperaments wouldn’t match and that he would be back in ‘three days’. However, things turned out to be the opposite and Bachchan loved working with the director.
Bachchan revealed this incident after ‘Eklavya’ was screened at the Vidhu Vinod Chopra Film Festival which was organized at PVR Cinemas. The festival was held to celebrate Chopra’s production house’s establishment in the industry for 30 years.
Chopra was also all praises for the actor, saying that he is among the nicest human beings of the film industry.
The festival concluded yesterday and some of the most successful films from the Chopra factory were screened. While ‘Parinda’ kicked off the festival on 29th March, films like ‘Parineeta’, ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’, ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’, ‘Khamosh’, ‘1942: A Love Story’ and ‘Eklavya’. ‘3 Idiots’, Chopra’s most successful film till date, was screened at the closing ceremony.
