Though it has been just three years, since long running serials like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi & Kasautii Zindagii Kay went off air, but it seems a tale of the past. Today’s serials barely complete 8-11 months on screen and are ready to be replaced by another show owing to poor TRP ratings. The newest addition to this club will be Star Plus show Maayke Se Bandhi Dor & Sony TV’s Krishnaben Khakrawala.
Reportedly, Dor’s last episode will be aired on 2nd October & the show will be replaced by Cinevistaas’ Ek Hazaron Main Meri Behna Hai. Krishnaben will be last seen on television screens on 22nd September & will be replaced by Rajan Shahi’s Kuch To Log Kahenge.
Buzz is that Dor, remake of a popular Tamil show ‘Kolangal’, will wrap up with a maha episode and might come back with a second season. As for Krishnaben Khakrawala, rumor has it that the producers of the show do not want to go of the unique concept of Krishnagiri. They have been trying to revamp the show as soon as the news of the show going off air came out. A new writer was roped in & the central character, Krishnaben took the getup of an African woman. The producers are trying hard to shift the timings of the show, instead of letting it go off-air completely.
