Mumbai: Bhatts are known in the industry for churning out films which hit the hearts. Well, the fact also remains that often their movies are called copy cats (stuff borrowed or taken inspiration from Hollywood or some other movies, etc). Although Bhatts are the ones who are famous for their spongy melodious compositions and they are widely known for taking deep and close concentration on the music of their films. In a capsule, Bhatt camp is a welcoming pad for those who have talents. They have given platform to many known faces of Bollywood and they keep on doing the same. Now the bad luck period seems to take off with them, as a case has been filed against Mukesh and Mahesh Bhatt by a script writer Kapil Chopra who claims that they used his script to make their upcoming movie ‘Jannat 2’.
The writer from Mumbai, Kapil filed the lawsuit against both the brothers – Mukesh and Mahesh Bhatt by accusing them of lifting his script to make their movie ‘Jannat 2’ on. He maintained in the court that his screenplay was already registered with the Film Writers Association.
Last evening, the court’s hearing happened where it revealed that Kapil had meetings with the film’s director Kunal Deshmukh and they both met with each other for couple of time where Kapil narrated his story to Kunal and even left his screenplay with him to have a deep look at. When he did not get any positive response from him, he then narrated this script to some other film production abode. But when he viewed the promos of the film ‘Jannat 2’, he got simply shocked that the film had the same plot, dialogues and characters, as those were in his screenplay which he left with the director. Then he made contact with Kunal and Mukesh Bhatt who refused to pay him for the script then he decided to file the case against the makers of the movie.
