The gorgeous and curvaceous actress of Hindi cinema Chitrangada Singh is on cloud nine these days after working in a commercial masala film, ‘Desi Boyz’. Singh is super excited about her transition from the offbeat cinema to the world of commercial movies.
Desi Boyz is Chitrangada Singh’s first ever commercial flick that is all set to hit the screens. The curvy-dusky beauty, whose character is utterly glamorized and is of a seductress, says that her move from offbeat to commercial cinema was not maneuvered and now she is super enthralled with her glamorous role in the film opposite the macho man Akshay Kumar.
Chitrangada had allured the audiences with Sushir Mishra’s classy flick, ‘Hazaron Khwahishen Aisi’ in 2003 and then she looted the viewers with the film, ‘Kal’ in 2005.
Then she faded away from the cinematic scene for three years and made her comeback with director Onir’s flick, ‘Sorry Bhai’ in year 2008. Earlier this year, Chitrangada Singh then did Sudhir Mishra’s another movie, ‘Yeh Saali Zindagi’.
Telling about the commercial angle and the difference between the commercial and offbeat cinema, Singh chips in that in a commercial movie, you have many liberties wearing the high heels, you are given the glamorous touch, stylish hairdos, heavy makeup, designers’ clothes and all type of girly looks whereas in offbeat movies, you are restricted to performances only.
Chitrangada Singh then says that since a woman is a woman who needs and loves all these things and she is the same getting dragged off the feet seeing these kinds of attraction in the world of commercial movies.
She also clears the dust off the rumors circulating in the media that she will now not do any offbeat films and put her focus only on commercial movies, mentioning that she will be focusing ofcourse more on commercial flicks but it doesn’t mean that she will not act in offbeat cinema.
