Recently Deepika Padukone left Race-2 which was scheduled to release in November this year and the producer of Race-2, Ramesh Taurini has already filed a case with CINTAA( Cine and TV Artists Association) and AMPTPP (Association of Motion Pictures TV Programme Producer) of India against Deepika. CINTAA confirmed about the complaint.
After the incident, Ramesh Taurini said she acted in a very unprofessional way and accused Deepika for betraying his project ‘Race 2’. He waited for deepika to change her mind but Deepika even refused to meet him.
After making the complaint he said “I have full faith in these associations and I’m sure justice will be done.Strict action should be taken against her so that no one ever repeats such an act,”
Meanwhile Pahlaj Nihalani, another senior producer said “If Taurini has filed a caomplaint against Deepika, she will have to honour the dates which she had already alloted to him. If she has given same dates to any other producer, she can’t shoot for the other project.”
Deepika, recently in an event was asked about what she had to say on her defence. Deepika said “I have tremendous respect for Rameshji and that was never my intention. I felt very bad when I was opting out of the film, but I didn’t have any other option. The film has been delayed by one–and–a–half year and I have adjusted my dates all this time. I would still do it but now those dates are committed to other films. I wasted four months last year that I had kept aside for this film, but now I cannot adjust anymore.”
Morever she said “I never refused to meet him. I was out of country and when I came back at 7 am, I had to shoot the climax of ‘Cocktail’ at 9 am. He later came up to the sets and I explained him my problem.”
In the mean time the incident proved very fruitful for Priyanka Chopra. She was offered the role and 5 crore rupees which she could not refuse.
Now it would be interesting to see how Deepika really tackles the attack. Keep visiting. We will be back with more updates.
