Mumbai: Kareena Kapoor’s upcoming film ‘Heroine’ being directed by Madhur Bhandarkar is well in news due to various reasons. Since the day the movie has started, it has been on way to create the ripples and much noise in the media. Initially the movie got shelved and it created many speculations after Aishwarya Rai, the leading actress of the movie left the project due to pregnancy but soon Madhur took a sigh of relief when Kareena Kapoor stepped into the shoes of Ash. Well, the film has landed into new rumors and as per the latest rumors, the film is based around the life of actress Manisha Koirla, the Nepali beauty and Bollywood actress who is hardly seen in movies since quite some time.
Manisha, who had made her Bollywood debut with showman Subhash Ghai’s Saudagar, initially got huge success with the films she did like Saudagar, Bombay and 1942 – A Love Story. Later in her career, she faced failures both on personal and professional fronts. Her heavy drinking habit turned out to be the main culprit of her failure in her career and even personal life. Madhur, as per reports and rumors, wanted to document her life on screen though he apparently denies it. But sources claim that the film is based on Koirala’s life.
When the movie had gone on floors, there were reports that the film was inspired with the life of the yesteryear’s Hollywood beauty Marilyn Monroe but Madhur rubbed all those rumors and now again he refuses admitting that Heroine is based on Manisha Koirla’s life, whose personal life is in shaky position and she has filed for divorce from husband.
Heroine stars Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Randeep Hooda in main leads. Well, soon it would be clear if Heroine is based on whose life?
