Mumbai: Legendary lyricist-script writer Javed Akhtar is now returning to the second season of his much-watched show, ‘Classic Legends Season 2’. He is to talk about and present a documentary on the recently departed legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra in his upcoming show. Akhtar says he does not need to do any kind of reaserch on this great personality of Hindi cinema.
Talking to media, Javed Akhtar says that he does not think that he needs to do any kind of research on Yash Chopra for making a documentary on him because he has worked a lot with him in many films such as Trishul, Deewar, Mashaal, Kala Pathar and Silsila. He then reveals that actually for the first time when he wrote a film song was for his movie. Adding his comments, he further utters that he also worked with him in Veer-Zaara. He unzips that he wrote for his directorial ventures and then for his productions as well.
He was talking to the press conference to announce his show, which is all set to go on air on November 18th on Zee Classics. The lyricist praised the legendary filmmaker in big words. He goes on mentioning that there are a number of aspects about Yash Chopra which the moviegoers still do not know at all. Akhtar utters that in his entire career, no one can even mentions that this scene or character or situation was bad in his movies.
Talking more about Chopra, he chips in that beyond the successes and failures of his flicks, Chopra’s movies had certain class and sophistication which described his personality and flavor. He even rates Yash Chopra’s movies literary works. About the music of Yash Chopra’s movies, he says that his films’ music had magic and Indianess.
