Mumbai: There were reports about Madhuri Dixit’s entry into the sequel to Vishal Bhardawaj’s Ishqiya. It was reported that meetings took place between Bhardawaj and Dixit and Madhuri too had confirmed the meetings but she denied that she was fetched in to the sequel ‘Dedh Ishqiya’. But now it has been confirmed that the ravishing and stunning beauty of Bollywood trade Madhuri Dixit is going to play the main lead in Dedh Ishqiya. She will be the central love interest of the two men – Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi in the movie.
Madhuri’s return to India to re-start her cinematic and entertainment career has started being paid off since she has become the brand ambassador of Star Network’s new channel ‘Life OK’, she is being roped into many bigger ads, she is now going to start judging the new season of Jhalak Dikhla Ja and now she has eventually bagged a Bollywood film as a leading actress (in this old age where Bollywood signs them in character acting or mother’s roles).
Madhuri too made it confirmed on twitter, saying, she has bagged Vishal’s Dedh Ishqiya and is going to judge Jhalak Dikhla Ja and is currently on the sets of Life OK.
Initially Sony TV had created the issues about not having Madhuri Dixit on board for the show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’ as she became the brand ambassador of the rival channel Star Network’s new channel ‘Life OK’. But now the things have been sorted out between the actress and the channel. Star Network has been quite lenient with Dixit as they have mentioned in the contract that they do not have any issues whatsoever Madhuri does with others such as judging the show on Sony TV’s show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’ (as per reports in the media).
The prequel to Dedh Ishqiya had been directed by Abhishek Chaubey and Vishal produced it. Vidya told in the media that she did not have any issues with Madhuri’s entry into the sequel rather she was happy that she was going to enact her role in the film.
