London: Bollywood Diva, Madhuri Dixit has now joined in the league of the Bollywood celebs at Madame Tussauds Museum. The unveiling of the wax statute of Madhuri Dixit was done earlier today on Wednesday in London. The million dollar smile actress herself unveiled the statute. She was quite thrilled while unveiling her wax statute there at the museum.
Only the A-List Bollywood celebrities’ wax statutes are placed at the museum and Dixit has now joined them. The museum houses other statutes of the Bollywood celebs who include Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Now the seventh one is of Madhuri. Out of seven, only three are women actresses – rest are male actors of Hindi cinema.
The excited Madhuri reveals that she is super thrilled and happy unveleing her wax statute at Madame Tussauds. She says that the muemem has captured her look skillfully and beautifully. Dixit adds that she feels quite humbled to be included alongside the biggies of the trade such as Big B and Shah Rukh Khan. She also mentions that some of the males whose wax figures are placed there are her personal heroes.
Madhuri has been in Bollywodo trade for decades and since 1984, she has been working in Hindi movies endowing the cinegoers with her marvelous acting and superb dancing. The films like Tezaab, Beta, Ram lakhan, Sajan, Dil, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Dil Toh Pagal Hail and Devdas are the ones which are still imprinted on the minds of her fans.
It has been learnt that the pink saree, the wax statute of Madhuri Dixit is wearing, has been donated by the actress herself. The saree took four months to make and it cost around 150,000 on the making. The heavy neckpiece, the statute is wearing, is also much costlier.
