Mauli Dave, ravishing singer, loots hearts with Players’ title song

Mumbai: She is dusky…she is gorgeous…she is stupendous…she is steamy…she is brilliant…she is classy. Yes, she is Mauli Dave who is coined Indian Shakira by the like of Bappi Lahiri. The versatile singer Mauli, who was born and brought up in Texas, has returned to the Indian music with the title song of Abbas-Mustan’s ready to hit the theaters thriller Players. The track has been on way to lure the listeners and keep the music aficionados enthralled. Dave has so far constructed her luminous position in Hindi music abode.

Mauli’s title track for Players composed by Pritam has captured the attention of the music critics, who rated the song and her voice very high. The number has been topping the music charts on the channels.

Talking about the song, Mauli says, “The track has charged her up fully. Neeraj Sridhar has also done brilliantly with me. For the first time in my career, I am singing for the men in white. I am hopeful for the success of the track.”

This ravishing lass of the singing trade first hogged the limelight when she delivered the classy and mind boggling performance on the Sa Re Ga Ma platform in 2007 by rendering the song ‘Maya Maya’ from the movie Guru. The song simply mesmerized the audience out there and the judges as well. Bappi Lahiri, one of the judges of show, termed her Indian Shakira. She made her way to the final rounds of the show. Mouli also participated in Fear Factor and became the first runner up in 2011. Apart from singing, this multi talented gal hosted the show ‘Rock and Roll Family’. Her hosting was even liked by the celebs such as Tanuja, Kajol and Ajay Devgan who were the part of this program.

So far she has delivered more than 150 concerts and happens to be the most wanted stage show performer of the country. She was crowned Miss India Texas in 2007. This tall 5ft 10 inches gal has really dragged the world off the feet by her singing and other talents.

Mouli Dave has sung for many Bollywood flicks like Jai Veeru, Tomorrow and Mittal vs. Mittal. She has lent her vocals for the album The Bartender Mix. Mouli has rendered jingles as well.

The luminous Mouli Dave got nominated for Stardust and Mirchi Music Awards for the category of the Upcoming Singer and she bagged the Garvvati Gujarat Award in 2010.
