Nandana’s biggest happiness came due to the huge amount of viewers the film received at the theater in Kolkata. Even the viewers had to watch the entire film by standing in theaters as all the seats were filled up.
The super excited Nandana Sen chips in, “the viewers were mammoth there at the screening. People from all walks of life specially came to see my movie. There were long queues of the people who were standing and watching my flick.”
Sen shows off her happiness saying that it feels great seeing the huge amount of people coming to view her movie.
Ran Rasiya is the directed venture of famed filmmaker Ketan Mehta and the movie is based on the 19th century painter Raja Ravi Verma. The leading character of the painter is played by Randeep Hooda and the painter’s muse is enacted none other than by the sex goddess beauty Nandana Sen.
Rang Rasiya tells how the painter Ravi paints Sugandha Bai in nude in his paintings and how the storm of protests happens by the religious priests due to his nude portraits. The film also pours lights on the pictures of goddess painted by the painter.
When asked Nandana Sen about the late legendary painter M.F.Hussain, who too underwent these types of protests for his paintings of nude Indian goddesses, she says, this thing hugely hurts her that the legend like Hussain had to pass away in self-imposed exile outside his own country.
