Veena Malik is not only on the headlines of India and Pakistan rather we have been witnessing the reports on this extra bold actress of Pakistan turned Indian actress on the world’s biggest publications such as BBC, etc.
Well, the outrage in Pakistan is mammoth for Malik’s bold nude photo shoot. The latest development from Pakistan is that a Pakistani lawyer has filed the report in Islamabad High Court against Veena for spoiling Pakistan’s image in the world due to her naked photo shoot for the international magazine’s Indian version and the lawyer also asked the government to confiscate her passport. But the court rejected the petition of the lawyer.
The reports say that the lawyer’s petition for the charges against Veena Malik of obscenity and sedition and directing the government to take possession of her passport has been rejected earlier today by the court.
The Pakistani lawyer, Salimullah Khan had filed the petition against the actress yesterday in the court. His petition says that Malik has to be put under trail for obscenity, incitement to rebellion, insult of the country and wearing the outfits the Pakistani army uses.
The court rejects the petition on the grounds that the case cannot be taken into account since the photo shoot was taken place in other country and published in other country’s publication.
Khan further said in the documents that the act of Veena was much shameful for the country people and her nudeness in pictures have insulted the whole country. He wants the strict action from the government to take back the passport from her since it is government’s property.
Veena has filed the case against FHM India and demanded the damages of Rs. 10 crores and in response to her legal action, the magazine too has sued the actress by demanding Rs. 250 million as damages from Malik.
